Today, we are excited to announce a new collaboration with Focus Features and their new movie releasing March 31st, The Zookeeper’s Wife! Last month, we travelled to Warsaw, Poland to travel back in time and relive real moments caught in time from the Zoo and throughout the city. Over the next few weeks, we will be sharing those photos with you.

To kick off today’s first photo, we focus on the courage and bravery from The Zookeeper’s Wife, Antonina Żabińska. She was a woman who didn’t just think of herself, but the animals she cared for and women, children and men throughout Warsaw. Her courage will never be forgotten. #InternationalWomensDay #IWD2017

Dear Warsaw,
The love and care of this women’s hands and heart is unfathomable. Not only were the animal’s lives changed, but she saved the lives of hundreds of Polish Jews during WWII. Thank you Antonina, for being a woman of love and courage. Your story will never be forgotten.
Love, Taylor

*The Zookeeper’s Wife is in theatres March 31st 2017. To view the trailer and learn more about this incredible story visit, www.focusfeatures.com/thezookeeperswife/

Dear Photograph,
When I look back now, that summer seemed to last forever & if I had the choice, yeah I’d always be there, those were the best days of my life. - Joe

Dear Photograph,
Thank you for capturing the carefree attitude of summer days back in the 80s. 30 years later, I have little memory of what being carefree means. I could learn a thing or two from this kid.
- Robert

Dear Photograph,
This house holds onto a lot of my firsts. My first words. My first steps. My first nights alone. My first giggles. I’ll never remember these things but I’ll never forget that they happened here, with my family. My incredible family.

Dear Photograph,
I have a dream.

Dear Photograph,
It’s been six years. On this date six years ago I loaded up my car, left the only home I had ever known in small-town Georgia, and set out for three years of ministry school in the inner-city of St. Louis. Learning how to love and be loved. Six years later…and still I am here. This place and this city hold my heart. Thank you, for the memories made and the lessons learned. Sincerely, Foster

Dear Photograph,
People have asked me why I love photography and over the years I have learned that its simply because I hate change. Even when times and people and circumstances change, memories don’t. Photographs don’t. And I think that is exactly why we hang them everywhere, because for a brief moment, even in the utter chaos of life’s changes, things become normal again when we look at them; even if just for that moment. I guess I love photography because photographs never change, even when every little thing in them does. Our home is a quiet place now that my sister and I have moved away, but when I look at this photograph, I am six years old again, my family is always just a few rooms away, and I believe in everything. -Sarah

Dear Photograph,

For as long as I’ve can remember, my big brother has perfected act of getting my family bust out laughing with one-liners and great stories.  He leaves in a month for his second tour in the Middle East. I’ll be counting down the days until his return when we can sit on the porch and laugh at his jokes for many more years to come. Until then, I have you.

-Sarah

Dear Photograph,

In 1970, in northern Portugal, my Grandfather and I are seen here at the Vouga River, the land of our family. Usually we’d visit the region during vacations and was spent being one with the nature, birdwatching and enjoy rural life. We still maintain this tradition with my parents, wife and now children, because we love this country.

-Bruno

Dear Photograph,
As a child you often hear “time flies”, yet you can’t wait to grow up. Then you have children of your own and you pray time will just slow down. With years now flying by as fast as the seasons once did, there is no time left for snowmen. I can’t believe how fast they’ve grown up. - Dave
